The event log is used to record the most recent activity within the Empress numbering system. Each time the Empress server is started on the server, the program performs the startup functions and database maintenance depending upon your installation configuration. The event log is kept to 200 entries with the oldest event automatically deleted as new events are written to the log.

If Empress Master is started from an alternate computer, the event log is used to display the startup process and options loaded. Once loaded, any refresh of the event log is replaced with the event log from the Empress server. This way, events that occur on the server can be displayed from a remote site with the Empress master program.
