Col(L) & Col(R) - Column (Left & Right)
The column setting defines the position from the left edge of the label stock the data is printed. There are two settings, Column Left and Column Right. The column right setting is the total offset from the left edge of the label stock, NOT the offset from the right hand label edge. The units are millimeters x 10, therefore a setting if 10 for the left column and a setting of 410 for the right column will cause the labels to print 1.0mm from the left hand side edge of the label for the left label data and 41mm across the label stock for the right column data.
Font
The font setting is used define which printer font is used for each field. In the case of a barcode field, a drop down option will display all the supported barcode fonts. For a human readable text font, a drop down list will display all the printer supported fonts available.
Wx - Width Multiplier
The width multiplier can be used to enlarge a text font width. A setting of 2 will cause the font to print double the standard width.
Hx - Height Multiplier
The height multiplier can be used to enlarge a text font height. A setting of 2 will cause the font to print double the standard height.
Mx - Maximum Characters
The maximum characters defines the total number of characters which can be printed across an individual label. If the setting is too large, an error may occur if the text extends past the edge of the label. This will be displayed on the printer with an error 614. For more information see Printer Error 614.
Ds - Barcode Density
The barcode density defines the compression applied to the barcode font. The greater the value, the more compressed the barcode will be printed. The barcode density is usually adjusted to suit the tolerance of the barcode readers used.
Ht - Barcode Height
The barcode height specifies the height of the barcode printed. The units are millimeters x 10, therefore a setting if 80 will print with a barcode of 8mm in height.
S - Start Stop Character
The start stop character is used to specify the desired single character required for some barcode fonts. The barcodes which require a start stop character my not be readable without this character. An example of this is the Codabar font, which requires a start stop character or either A,B or C.
