Frequently Asked Questions

Empress calculates statistics files for use in evaluating operator workload performance, sample receipt times and test selection volume analysis.

To select a statistic function, click the statistic option to leave a tick.

When the statistics are calculated, either at midnight each night or manually the options selected will be calculated into the statistics file for the day being calculated.

During the windup process, the statistics are calculated for the previous day passed.

If Empress Master is closed at the end of day procedures, it will process the end of day procedures after restarting at a later stage. If left closed for extended periods, some users might find the program slightly slower due to the increased activity.

Operator Totals
The operator totals statistic option lists the entire number of specimens processed by each operator. The first and last specimen process time by each operator is reported with the total number of specimens processed between these times.

Total Specimens Received
The total specimens received lists the total number of specimens processed by each number file.

Session Activity
The session activity report is used to record all the operator logons and logoffs, the total number of specimens processed, the session login time and logout time and from which Empress workstation the processing was performed.

Sample Load by Hour
The sample load by hour reports the times the specimens were processed by number file on an hourly basis. For each number sequence a report is created over the twenty four hour period in an hourly breakdown listing the total number of specimens processed during that interval.

Test Selections
The test selections report lists the total number of each test selected for the entire period. It includes all operators for the entire twenty four hour period. This report primarily is intended to display the test requestion patterns. To delete all the statistics files, selecting Tools from the menu bar, Statistics and then Delete all stats will provide an option to delete all these accumulated files.
