Test Setup and Configuration - Relocating Tests

Drag Drop Operation
Empress supports drag drop technology which makes it a very simple mouse operation to move any test to any position within the same tests screen or any other subtests screen.

Test locations already occupied will not be accessible and will be represented with a no drop icon notifying the unsuitable location selected.

If the mouse pointer is dragged over a suitable location the mouse pointer will change to a drop icon, informing the operator of a suitable location. To place the test into this location, release the mouse button to drop the test which will be placed immediately into the new location and be available for use.

Same SubMenu Screen
If the test is to be moved to another location within the same screen, click on the desired test and drag the test to another blank location within the test display.

Different SubMenu Screen
To relocate a test to a different menu screen, the desired test must first be removed from the original test screen and placed into the unassigned tests list. Select the new test display and drag the test test to be relocated and drag the test up to the unassigned test list and then drop by releasing the mouse button.

NOTE : If you are modifying your test definition on your live system, changes you make are occurring in real time. Therefore as each screen is loaded, the new test definition is reflected by your changes. It may be more suitable to install an offline Empress system on an alternate computer and perform your test modifications to suit. After all changes have been completed, export your test definitions and import the new configuration into the live Empress Numbering system
