Test Groups
Test codes can be accumulated onto a single barcode by using group numbers. Group numbers are defined as an integer number from 1 to 32,000 to which these numeric values are assigned to a test definition. The default group number for a test to appear on its own barcode is 0. Therefore if two tests are defined as having no group number or a group number of zero, each test will be printed onto its own barcode producing two individual barcodes of the same number. If a test group of 1 is used in the test definition of these tests, both tests will be printed together onto a single barcode. This process can therefore accumulate any pre-determined number of tests together onto a single barcode.

. To create a new group number, click on the create new test group button. The next available group number will be the default number displayed for use. You may over-ride this suggested number with a unique number you want to use. After entering the group number, a prompt for a group description will appear. Enter a description for the group number for your own easy recognition of this group when assigning to a test.

NOTE : Tests that are accumulated together by group numbers can be removed on any single episode by selecting the barcodes button from the main Empress screen, selecting the test in question which will force that test it to appear on it's own barcode.
